Position Overview
Coursera is seeking a Marketing Operations Business Partner to drive operational excellence and strategic support across marketing initiatives. This role serves as a critical bridge between marketing teams and business operations, ensuring seamless execution of campaigns, programs, and data-driven decision making. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strategic thinking to optimize marketing processes, manage technology stacks, and deliver actionable insights that drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with marketing leadership to develop and implement operational frameworks that support strategic marketing initiatives and drive business growth
Design, optimize, and maintain marketing processes and workflows to improve efficiency, reduce bottlenecks, and ensure scalability across teams
Serve as the primary point of contact for marketing technology stack management, including Salesforce, marketing automation platforms, and analytics tools
Lead cross-functional projects that require coordination between marketing, sales, product, and data teams to deliver integrated campaigns and programs
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics that provide actionable insights into marketing performance, campaign effectiveness, and ROI metrics
Manage marketing operations budget, resource allocation, and vendor relationships to optimize spend and maximize program impact
Implement data governance standards and ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance across all marketing systems and platforms
Drive adoption of best practices in marketing operations, including lead management, campaign tracking, attribution modeling, and performance measurement
Facilitate training and enablement programs to ensure marketing teams effectively utilize tools, processes, and resources available to them
Identify opportunities for process automation and system integrations to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort across marketing operations
Collaborate with business intelligence teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and establish measurement frameworks for marketing activities
Support marketing planning cycles by providing operational insights, capacity analysis, and resource recommendations to leadership
Manage stakeholder communications and project status updates, ensuring transparency and alignment across all levels of the organization
Conduct regular audits of marketing processes and systems to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement
Champion a culture of data-driven decision making by socializing insights, trends, and recommendations based on marketing performance data
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
5+ years of experience in marketing operations, business operations, or program management roles within technology or education sectors
Proven expertise in marketing technology platforms including Salesforce, Marketo, HubSpot, or similar CRM and marketing automation systems
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations
Experience managing cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and tight deadlines
Deep understanding of marketing metrics, attribution models, funnel optimization, and performance measurement methodologies
Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to influence and build consensus among diverse audiences
Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, Tableau, or similar business intelligence platforms
Track record of driving process improvements and operational efficiency through automation, standardization, and best practice implementation
Strong project management skills with experience using Agile, Scrum, or other structured methodologies
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong collaboration with distributed teams
Experience with digital marketing channels including email, paid media, content marketing, and social media platforms
Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and experience implementing compliant marketing practices
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, forecast resources, and optimize spend across multiple programs and initiatives
