What You’ll Need to Succeed
To thrive in this role, you should bring a mix of technical skills, adaptability, and collaboration. While CT values skills tests highly (sometimes even more than traditional experience), here’s what they’re looking for in candidates:
Accounting Knowledge: Competence in preparing local, state, and federal taxes for small companies.
Experience: At least 3+ years of professional accounting experience is preferred, but not always mandatory.
Flexibility and Teamwork: Ability to work under pressure and across diverse departments.
Software Skills:
Knowledge of QuickBooks Online is a big plus.
Experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite (candidates will be tested).
Advanced proficiency in Excel, Office, and Google Docs is preferred.
Evaluating financials and performance metrics to improve cash flow and efficiency.
Comparing budgets and forecasts against actual results.
Preparing and submitting annual and quarterly taxes to local, state, and federal authorities.
Supporting the finance team with additional duties as assigned.
Compensation Details
Coalition Technologies rewards skills, not just resumes. If you perform well on the required skills tests, CT will seriously consider your application—even if your educational or professional background doesn’t check all the boxes.
Pay Range (for California, New York, Washington, and Colorado):$17 – $50 per hour, depending on experience, skills test performance, and seniority. Outside of these states, Compensation may fall outside the listed range but remains competitive.
