About the Role
The Senior Operations Manager plays a critical role in overseeing large-scale operational departments, managing distribution processes, and ensuring seamless supply chain execution. You will lead a dynamic team, drive operational excellence, and ensure compliance with customer, company, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, organise, and manage daily operational activities to meet and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs).
Oversee distribution operations, including shipping, receiving, picking, packing, inventory management, and value-added services (VAS).
Manage import deconsolidation and domestic consolidation for rapid carton throughput.
Supervise store delivery operations, including unloading, sorting, palletising, and load-outs.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise labour productivity, improve accuracy, and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
Mentor, coach, and conduct performance reviews for team members while managing disciplinary actions and hiring processes.
Ensure compliance with company policies, government regulations, and customer requirements.
Establish and monitor productivity, quality control standards, budgets, and cost efficiencies.
Maintain accountability for P&L performance, labour planning, and budget adherence.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance workflow efficiency and operational consistency.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly manage 10 employees and oversee 150+ indirect reports across picking, put-away, shipping, and inventory control departments.
Responsible for workforce planning, task delegation, performance evaluations, employee recognition, and conflict resolution
