About the Role
As a Data Engineer, you will work closely with GovSignals’ leadership team to design, build, and maintain the next-generation data infrastructure powering our AI-driven contracting platform. Your role is pivotal: you will architect and optimize scalable pipelines, manage end-to-end data lifecycles, and ensure the highest standards of data governance and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and integration.
- Develop and implement data models, ontologies, and schemas for efficient retrieval and analysis.
- Oversee governance, security, lineage, and lifecycle management to ensure compliance and integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and promote best practices in data management.
- Innovate and solve complex data challenges in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Integrate AI technologies, including LLMs and embedding models, into scalable systems.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in SQL, ETL, and data pipeline automation.
- Experience with OLAP databases such as ClickHouse or DuckDB, including columnar storage and query optimization.
- Hands-on expertise in designing scalable data architectures.
- Experience integrating AI/ML models into production systems.
- Excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills.
